Wow! It’s June already, the sixth month of the year. It may be a double bank holiday weekend here in the UK, but there’s plenty going on in the garden.
My first photo is of the these lovely pink Peonies which have just had a sprinkling of rain. I don’t know the name of them as they were all here when we moved in.
Second photo goes to another Peony, this one is creamy white and has a delicate pink centre.
Third photo is of the Birds-Foot Trefoil which I am growing for the pollinators. There’s a hover-fly (I think) enjoying them in this picture.
Fourth picture is of a pot of Gazania, bought as plug plants last year from Sarah Raven and re-flowering once more.
Fifth photo is of two red Anemone from my mixed pack which I also featured a couple of weeks ago. They are quite striking with their almost black centre and then a ring of white.
Last photo is of the first of my sunflowers, although not very tall, this one is Helios Flame. I’m quite surprised to see flowers on them this early in summer.
Thank you for joining me for this #SixOnSaturday post. I hope that you enjoyed it. If you would like to know more about this hashtag, read founder Mr Propagator’s post here also find him on Twitter here.
Happy gardening

You ‘inherited’ a lot of good stuff in your garden. Those Peonies are lovely, the pink one almost rose like.

I did! Not realising it at the time because we viewed and bought it in January. The more I think about it, the more I realise that they probably had it professionally done, but I am enjoying it all.

Yes, the white peony is really special! Bird’s foot trefoil grows wild in the lawn here, rampantly, and all sorts of bees just love it!

It’s a wild plant here too, but I wanted to add more wild plants for the pollinators in my garden.

They are huge, I hope they don’t droop in the rain forecast for today.

Those peonies are a nice change from the standard ones. I would like to “follow” you, but I can’t find how to do it on your slightly different layout.

Thank you Granny. Three ways you can follow. Scroll back to the top of the page, on the right hand side is a grainy photo of me, under it it the WordPress button to follow me by clicking it, or the email sign-up option. The third method depends on the device you are using but sometimes a follow button appears near the bottom right of the screen as you scroll down. Hopefully one of those will work.

What a great and healthy sunflower (said with a bit of envy as all my dwarf ones made tasty meals for slugs!)

A couple of mine got eaten too, and some others are rather scraggly.

Sorted! I clicked on the WordPress icon at the top of my screen and that worked perfectly. Much easier to reply and comment now. Thank you.
