Taken by Love is book #1 of the Bradens at Trusty a branch of the popular Love in Bloom series (#7 The Bradens #16 Love In Bloom). Set in Trusty Colorado it is a hot contemporary romance.

Daisy Honey rues the day her parents christened her and their genes gave her blonde hair. At school jealous girls did their worst spreading vicious rumours about Daisy’s morals. She couldn’t wait to get away from Trusty and the harsh community.

Eleven years have gone by, Daisy is a qualified Doctor with high profile job offers, but she is forced to return home when her father takes a fall from his tractor and injures his back. Daisy has taken a temporary job at the Trusty care clinic, a clinic supposedly set up for emergencies as it is a forty-five minute drive away for locals to go to see a personal doctor. However Daisy soon finds that the locals are in need of a doctor for the community.

Luke Braden is a rancher with a bad reputation, yet he was the one person who stood up for Daisy all those years ago. Daisy has never forgotten him, so running in to him in Trusty fulfills her dreams. Another good read from Melissa’s stable of hot romances filled with handsome, strong, often vulnerable men and intelligent, intriguing sexy women. Can be read as a stand alone or as part of the series.

Promise My Love is a short novella and part of The Bradens series of romances. Rex Braden lives in Trusty, Colorado, a handsome, bear of a man, but one who turns to putty in the hands of fiancé Jade Johnson.

Jade is a local vet and has loved Rex for 15 years. She can’t wait for her wedding to take place and the weeks running up to the final day have been very busy. Two things are about to rock her boat, she discovers she has lost her half of a precious necklace called “Dance of Two Loves”, one she shares with Rex, she fears it is a bad omen especially when she gets a phone call to say her Dad has just had a heart attack.

Jade’s emotions are all over the place, she doesn’t want to postpone her wedding, yet she also wants her Dad to walk her down the aisle. Rex is also struggling to do the right thing, he feels they should postpone the wedding. On top of this Hope, his mother’s horse is off colour. This horse is his father’s life-line to their mother and if anything happens to Hope, their world will be in danger of collapse.

Fans of The Bradens will enjoy this book, it is full of love, weddings and family devotions.

Lovers at heart is #4 of the Love in Bloom series and #1 of the Bradens. These books all have links through cousins and marriages. With the clever use of large families there are plenty of storyline potentials. It’s a hot romance style offering escapism to a place of hot rugged alpha men and women equally beautiful and in need of loving.

Treat Braden is 37 and a successful businessman who owns a string of resorts. Oldest son of Hal Braden, he feels the responsibility of looking out for his brothers and sister, but he’s always felt the drive to prove himself as a success. When his mother died when he was just 11, Treat wanted to take on the care of his siblings and be a replacement for their mother.

The only person to knock his plans off track has been Max Armstrong. The minute he met her, his heart flip-flopped and he couldn’t get her out of his head. When she went off with another man, his jealousy drove his actions, but he couldn’t get her out of his head.

Treat returned home to the sanctuary of family and his father’s ranch, the last person he expected to bump into again was Max and his heart did that flip-flop all over again. Max too was having trouble thinking clearly, Treat had a deep affect on her too. They are drawn together by lust, but both have plenty of issues to work through before they can let their defences down and fully trust in a future together.

If you like a quick read, hot romance with a HEA ending and plenty more characters to fill a series, then these books could be for you.

Healed By Love is from the Love in Bloom series and is #13 of The Bradens. These books can all be read as stand alone books, so don’t worry that you need to start with book 1 in any of the series which branch off from this.

Melissa Foster’s books are easy read hot romances, with sexy men, strong women and HEA endings. In this book we meet Nate Braden, a 27 year old ex-soldier with a huge bucket load of guilt and a long standing secret love for his best friend’s sister.

Jewel Fisher is 22. She works at Chelsea’s Boutique and helps her family as much as she can, running the kids to school, cooking meals, checking on everyone else. Since her father died and then her older brother, Jewel stepped up to the plate and put her family first. She’ll do anything she can to protect them.

Nate’s been released from the military for a week, he’s returned home to Peaceful Harbor, Maryland where he’ll help run the family micro-brewery until he sorts out the rest of his life. He promised Rick he’d look after his family, so he’ll just have to get over the “hots” for Jewel and act responsibly. Perhaps if he avoids Jewel that will work?

But when Jewel has an accident Nate’s the first on the scene and he just can’t put her out of his life. Jewel might think she likes Nate, but how will she feel when she knows he gave the order which killed Rick?

I really enjoyed the depths of emotion which these characters went through before they could let go of all of their grief, yes Melissa’s men are very emotional and will eventually admit their flaws, yes this may not reflect men in real-life, but that’s the fun of an escapism feel good read like this.

Crashing Into Love is Book #20 of The Love In Bloom series and #12 of The Bradens. It’s hot romance and ticks all the boxes for romance readers.

Jake Braden is an LA stuntman, he leads a fast life, women, parties, cars at a whirlwind pace. Anything to avoid the silence which will bring him crashing down in painful thoughts.

Fiona Steele is a geologist at the Bureau of Mines and Geology and for the last sixteen years she’s been avoiding Jake as much as he’s been hiding from her. As teenagers they dated but when Fiona’s father abandoned her mother, it caused upheaval in all their lives, with Fiona due to leave home for college, her Mum’s advice was to let Jake go and spread her wings.

It broke her heart to leave Jake and he never got over it either. Now Fiona wants him back, but can she break down the barriers and slay the demons which have taken over? When both are home in Trusty, Colorado, Jakes brothers set him up to meet Fiona in a bar. The meeting is tense and doesn’t go well.

Fiona has been bold, she’s taken unpaid time off work and for the next few weeks she’s going to be her friend Trish’s assistant on the set of a new film where Jake is the stuntman. Bursting With Love is book 5 of The Bradens and book 8 in the Love In Bloom Series. I’ve skipped about and read several books within these series now. Savannah Braden is 34, known by some as “Bulldog Braden” in the courtroom, she is currently reeling from discovering her boyfriend in bed with another women. Fleeing from the hurt and the anger she books herself on an outdoor survival weekend.

Jack Remington is their pilot and survival guide, “Mountain Man” and Bear Grylls type, he’s moody, angry and takes no crap from his students. Yet underneath there’s a lot more to Jack. He’s been wallowing in guilt for two years after the death of his wife which he takes full blame for. Living in the wild, he can’t move on with his life. That is until he comes face to face with Savannah.

In just one weekend Jack is knocked off his feet and Savannah finds an animal hunger she didn’t know she had. Returning home, Jack finds the motivation to lay his ghosts to rest, but he has a mountain of guilt to get through first. Will his family forgive him? Will he ever be able to step foot in the city again?

This is a well written fast moving hot romance. We also meet lots of the Braden and Remington characters who have their own books in these series. Some of the sexual scenes didn’t quite work for me as well as in others in the series.

Dreaming of Love is a great stand alone book, but if you love Melissa’s books then know that it is also 11th in the Braden book series and 19th in the Love In Bloom series. I’ve now read several books in both series and love how the characters all intertwine.

This book is about Emily Braden, she’s watched 4 of her 5 strong character brothers be knocked over with love for some amazing women and Emily wants to find someone for herself. She’s always fought her corner for a rightful place amongst her brothers and she loves them all. She’s an architect from Trusty, Colorado, she works hard and now it’s time for a rest. Her brother Wes has given her a ticket to Tuscany for a well deserved break in an area of beauty, she arrives clutching, as always her hopes of love.

She’s staying in a villa near Florence, the home of Adelina and her family. With just two rooms available, Emily soon meets the other guest and just one smouldering look has her pulse racing. Dae Dray is here for a work project, to assess a house for demolition, but it looks like he’s going to work some demolition in the romance department too.

A local villa, Casa Dei Desideri, the House of Wishes draws local women to it’s ancient olive tree who share their secret wishes. Myth has it that the tree has mysterious powers. Conflict occurs when Emily’s need to preserve family bonds of love go against Dae’s work project.

Melissa’s writing is full of passion and emotion, she has strong characters who reach out to the reader’s own emotions and take you on a roller-coaster ride.

Pierce Barden is the oldest Braden brother, just one of a handsome bunch of drawl worthy men. He lives in Reno and owns many businesses, his latest venture is a bid for The Grand Casino and negotiations are under way for it’s purchase as long as the financial investigation works out. It’s giving him a bit of stress, so he heads off to a small town bar to sort things out in his head.

Instead his attention is drawn to a feisty female who storms out of the bar, punching a drunk who tries to stop her leaving. Pierce feels a need to stand up for her and comes face to face with a women who sets his heart racing. Not he usual type of female, this unique person gives off sparks of attraction and her refusal to allow him to help her only adds to his interest.

Rebecca Rivera has recently lost her Mum to Cancer, she’s lost her home and she’s just lost her job. Surrounding herself with a tough exterior she can stand up for herself and won’t take help from anyone who she thinks shows her any pity. She’s fierce and independent but she also has ambition. Pierce and Rebecca’s lives are miles apart yet they both feel the pull of attraction and they start a hot passionate relationship.

With both characters used to being in control and Pierce being someone who likes to fix things this book makes for some powerful relationship challenges full of deep strong feelings that all need working on for any relationship between them to work out. The Braden boys bring high octane romance to their women and Rebecca will be no pushover until she can put all her ghosts to rest. A great chapter in the Braden’s book series and one which should leave you wanting to read about more of the family.
