This book is a great romance that ticks all the boxes for me. There is a hunky hero (Fox) and the sizzle of sexual tension begins straight away. Laura is intelligent and a good character struggling to keep down a job to pay the bills and send her sister to college. Laura wants a bit of fun and feels she deserves the attentions of an attractive man for a while. However work soon gets in the way for both of them and Fox must investigate the company that Laura works for. Sent to find the reason why the company is losing money the finger points to Laura when lies are easier than the truth. This is a well written book, I could easily picture the luxurious settings and the pace of the writing fits the storyline. The author promises to tell us more about Fox’s brother Lee and Laura’s sister in second and third books, which will hopefully be available soon, I shall look forward to them. This review is based upon a free copy of the book given to me by the author.
I didn’t know what to expect from this YA book, I was intrigued by the cover and the references to the stars in the sky. The teenage youth scenes and school setting were all very well written with plenty of descriptions which were easy to imagine. The storyline was interesting, Anna was brainy and interested in astrophysics. She had a realistic crush on the leader of the boy’s football team and I enjoyed the on/ off romance which they both shared. The suspense and star adventure built with the story, and I was guessing right up to the end between Jared, The Shadow and Steve. A cliff hanger ending had me wishing for more. Bring on the next book in the series.
