Old Town Nights by Linda L Williams

Where is your hometown?

I hail from Chicago, Illinois, but have lived in Denver, Colorado, for twenty-five years.

How long have you been writing romance?

Since the 1980s. I started self-publishing my novels several years ago.

What is your favorite subgenre of romance?

Paranormal, fantasy, or science fiction.

Where is your book set?

Chicago, Illinois.

Tell us about Abby.

Abby Lawrence is a successful real estate broker on Chicago’s north side. She’s outgoing, spunky, and driven to be the best. Because her father deserted her family when she was young, she has trust issues—especially where men are concerned. Abby often finds herself in the position of caring for her irresponsible younger sister, Sally, which backfires on her after she meets Ambrose Slater.

What is the Slater family business?

The Slaters own two successful bakeries, one in Old Town and the other in Lincoln Square. As Ambrose points out: It’s the ideal occupation for the “sleepless in Chicago.”

How does Ambrose trick Abby to get her alone?

He makes an appointment with her to view a house he knows is vacant. After that, it’s just a matter of time before he makes his big move!

Ambrose isn’t an ordinary man, is he? What is different about him?

Ambrose is a vampire-human hybrid. Although he’s mortal, he does possess a hidden set of fangs and a craving for blood.

Tell us what you are working on at the moment.

A Christmas novella titled The Breadth of the Soul. As with my other books, the story is a contemporary romance with a paranormal twist.

Where can readers find out more about you?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Old Town Nights is an adult paranormal romance. Think of an Adult Twilight mixed with The Cake Boss. Ambrose Slater and his family run the Slater Bakeries in Chicago. Abby Lawrence is a real estate agent.

Ambrose has been in love with Abby for several months, he’s a gentleman but he has been stalking her. He sets up a house viewing appointment with her just to finally meet her, but his intentions are selfish.

Abby finds him very attractive, but when he takes matters into his own hands she is shocked by what she finds. Falling in love Abby is divided by her love for Ambrose and what she sees their future to be. The longer they stay together the harder it is for both of them until finally they make a fateful decision.

Have they done what is right or what is best for their future?

I liked this book because I’m a Twilight fan and a fan of The Cake Boss, it’s ticks the boxes of a modern paranormal romance too.

This review is based on a free copy of the book which I won.
