Welcome to Day 21 of Romancing September Across The World Tour. Today our guest is Nic Tatano. Catch up with more from Nic in a few hours with the second part of our tour when Stephanie chats to him.
1) Where is your home town?
Stamford, Connecticut, USA
2) How long have you been writing romance?
3) What is your favourite sub-genre of romance?
4) Where does Veronica work?
Veronica starts out working for a local New York City TV station as a reporter, then takes a job as the network’s morning anchor. The network promises to give her the main evening anchor job if she’ll anchor the mornings for three years. She is very much a night person and hates mornings but figures she can hang in there for three years to get the brass ring.
5) Why doesn’t she like her job?
She soon discovers that getting up at two in the morning leaves her feeling sick all the time, sleep deprived, and without any social life. She realizes the trade-off to get the evening anchor job isn’t worth it and is desperate to find a way out.
6) What does she do to get herself fired?
She decides the only way out of her contract is to get fired, so she tries to be as sarcastic and obnoxious as possible on live television. But her plan backfires as viewers love snark in the cornflakes and the ratings skyrocket.
7) As the Nation’s It Girl, where does this lead?
The network realizes she’s incredibly popular and puts her on its prime time celebrity dance competition show, Dance Off. And of course, the ratings skyrocket there as well.
8) What are the love interests for her?
She’s falling for Bradley, her hunky dance partner with whom she has chemistry, both on and off the dance floor. Meanwhile, she continually locks horns with Dexter, the sarcastic British judge on the show recently voted the most beautiful person on the planet, who is secretly carrying a torch for her.
9) Tell us what you are working on at the moment.
My next book is titled “Twitter Girl” (or, actually @TwitterGirl, which is what will appear on the cover) which is currently in the editing process and scheduled for a September release. It’s about a reporter who gets fired for a snarky tweet and ends up working for a Presidential candidate who happens to be America’s most eligible bachelor. Will she find true love and turn into the next Jackie Kennedy? Or find that romance and politics don’t mix?
10) Where can readers find out more about you?
I have a blog called thechannelingauthor.blogspot.com.
