The Accidental Demon Slayer by Angie Fox
4 stars
The Accidental Demon Slayer is book one of the Demon Slayer series of humourous paranormal fantasy books.
On the eve of her thirtieth birthday, Lizzie’s super-organised quiet life as a pre-school teacher changes forever. Within a couple of hours, she meets her biker witch Grandma, battles with demons and discovers that a handsome Griffin shapeshifter is her protector.
Why does she need a protector? Lizzie is about to learn that she is a demon-slayer, and that a mighty demon is after her super powers unless she can defeat him first.
Written in a fun, almost slapstick style with sharp dialogue, this is a fast-moving story. I loved Lizzie’s Grandma and her coven of eclectic biker witches, particularly some of their spell work, which was truly revolting at times. The romance between Lizzie and her protector added some sizzling heat to the narrative and I look forward to reading more about their relationship in the next book in the series.
Ideal for those who enjoy a giggle with some paranormal romance.

It’s never a good day when an ancient demon shows up on your toilet bowl. For Lizzie Brown, that’s just the beginning. Soon her hyperactive terrier starts talking, and her long-lost biker witch Grandma is hurling Smuckers jars filled with magic. Just when she thinks she’s seen it all, Lizzie learns she’s a demon slayer — and all hell is after her.
Of course, that’s not the only thing after her. Dimitri Kallinikos, a devastatingly handsome shape-shifting griffin needs Lizzie to slay a demon of his own. But how do you talk a girl you’ve never met into going straight to the underworld? Lie. And if that doesn’t work, how dangerous could a little seduction be…?
