#AugustReviews is nearing an end but my own 2016 reading challenge continues.
Each year I enjoy taking part in the Goodreads Reading Challenge so I thought I’d do an update. So far I have read 113 books and below are books which made my top 20, are any of them your favourites too?
Are any of you taking part in the challenge too?
What has been your favourite read this year?
Glad to see we agree on The Heretic Heir and Do Not Wash!! Oh, and Bestseller wasn’t so bad…. 😉
Thank you, this sort of commendation is always so lovely to see 😀

I am so sadly behind on my Goodreads Challenge but I have read more books than I have reviewed and am determined to catch up. The #AugustReviews initiative has really sparked me into action!
Some good reads for me have been The Martian, The Boatman, When the Sun was Mine and Ludwika.

HI Wendy, so glad #AugustReviews has done its job. Some good books in your list too.

I agree on Wash Hands and Miss Emily although haven’t read the others in your list. I’ve read quite a few good ones too many thanks to your group. If people are interested in autism, a book that’s coming out next week ‘A Boy Made of Blocks’ is pretty unique. And another very recent one ‘The Secret Diary of Hendrick Groen 83 1/3’ I really enjoyed. La petite Boulaine, Wear and Tear… So many and more to come!

Wow, you’re a really good reader! I’d love to do the same, but I barely have any spare time left for reading 😯

I’d actually written a longer comment, but part of it doesn’t show. I used brackets, and those apparently mean ‘delete’. 😦

No worries Rayne, I do think your writer’s craft series are a very useful tool, in fact I’ve recommended three of them just this week to authors.

I joined it too, not always able to log in…fixing that…I love the reading challenge per year. I am behind on my 50 books to read. Life has it’s way of slowing my reading down, but faith keeps me going.

Well the average number of books on the challenge is 47, so you might get there.

Aww, you’re a fellow stargate fan! Awesome 🙂 and JD Robb’s In Death Series is always good, and mostly great!
Lets see, my GR challenge was 250 books. I’m at 267. right now.

Saw the original film for the Stargate series on a trip to NY, then when the TV series popped up on UK TV just had to start watching, hoked ever since, so when I found out fans were writing books as companions to the series had to check them out. 267 books! You are an amazing reader.

You’re a prolific reader and a devoted reviewer! Before my “eye issues,” I read 30 books a year, and I thought that was good. Now, I’m lucky to read 15 books a year. Still, I treasure reading as much as I do writing.
Congrats, and thanks, Rosie, on behalf of all authors and prospective readers. 🙂

I am so far behind on my Goodreads challenge this year. Life has a way of dictating where my time is spent. This year it is on downsizing our house, finding a smaller house, and hopefully fitting into it. I read when I can, but I am way behind.
