Taken by Love is book #1 of the Bradens at Trusty a branch of the popular Love in Bloom series (#7 The Bradens #16 Love In Bloom). Set in Trusty Colorado it is a hot contemporary romance.

Daisy Honey rues the day her parents christened her and their genes gave her blonde hair. At school jealous girls did their worst spreading vicious rumours about Daisy’s morals. She couldn’t wait to get away from Trusty and the harsh community.

Eleven years have gone by, Daisy is a qualified Doctor with high profile job offers, but she is forced to return home when her father takes a fall from his tractor and injures his back. Daisy has taken a temporary job at the Trusty care clinic, a clinic supposedly set up for emergencies as it is a forty-five minute drive away for locals to go to see a personal doctor. However Daisy soon finds that the locals are in need of a doctor for the community.

Luke Braden is a rancher with a bad reputation, yet he was the one person who stood up for Daisy all those years ago. Daisy has never forgotten him, so running in to him in Trusty fulfills her dreams. Luke’s not sure what to make of his attraction to Daisy, he’s never wanted more than a one night stand with any woman, but Daisy takes his breath away. Can he lay his demons to rest? And more importantly will Daisy ever stay in Trusty?

Another good read from Melissa’s stable of hot romances filled with handsome, strong, often vulnerable men and intelligent, intriguing sexy women. Can be read as a stand alone or as part of the series.
