Welcome to Romancing September 2015 Day 1
30 Day, 30 authors, 2 locations
We open our tour with Melissa Foster and her chosen book Taken by Love.
Where is your home town?
Maryland
How long have you been writing romance?
Since 2011
What is your favourite sub-genre of romance?
I love contemporary and new adult romance.
The Bradens are part of a very successful series what is the first book in that series?
The Bradens are part of the Love in Bloom series, which follows several families. The Snow Sisters, Bradens, Remingtons, Seaside Summers gang, and the Ryders. The first book in the series is SISTERS IN LOVE (Snow Sisters, Book 1), and you meet Treat Braden (yum!), the hero in the first Braden book in book three, SISTERS IN WHITE. The Braden series is LOVERS AT HEART.
Did you always intend the books to be part of a series?
Absolutely! I had too many wonderful connections to ignore!
Taken by Love is about Daisy Honey, how much fun do you have with the names of your characters?
Names for my characters are so important to me. Without the right name, I simply can’t write them! Silly, but true! Daisy Honey’s name, IMHO, fit her perfectly. It was one of the things she’d spent her life trying to overcome, and I think it really helped her grow as a character.
What has happened to Daisy in the past and what brings her back to the town of Trusty?
Growing up, Daisy experienced a lot of bullying and teasing because of her name, and her incredibly sexy appearance, which was all natural. Many of us wish we looked like Daisy, and Daisy shows us how uncomfortable it can be. You’ll have to read the book to see why she returns to Trusty, CO
I’ve read several of your books and they can easily be stand-alone books as well as enjoyed as part of the series, do you have a favourite Hero/ Heroine from any of the books?
Oh goodness no! That would be like choosing a favorite child. I can’t do that. They’re all so wonderful!
Tell us what you are working on at the moment.
I’m currently working on The Ryders, the newest addition to the Love in Bloom family. The Ryders have been entrenched in the Seaside Summers, Remingtons, and Bradens series, and it’s time for them to find their happily ever afters.

Brilliant opening to the tour, great to meet you Melissa, your energy and enthusiasm just bounces off the page, and your characters sound great fun. I’m fascinated by the concept of the World Literary Cafe and will definitely be seeking that out, together with getting to know The Bradens along the way. Excellent start to a month of Romance!

I can imagine a name like that would give you a bit to overcome! It’s like how whenever I see Candy Crowley on CNN I’m impressed she made it as a journalist – must be hard to get people to take you seriously!
