She has been reading Walking in the Rain by Julia Ibbotson in conjunction with Brook Cottage Books

How do you cope when your worst nightmare comes true?

Jess happily marries the love of her life. She wants to feel safe, secure and loved. But gradually it becomes clear that her beloved husband is not the man she thought him to be. She survived civil war and injury in Africa, but can she now survive the biggest trauma of her life?

This is the second novel in the Drumbeats trilogy but can be read as a standalone. However, Drumbeats is so amazing you should just read it too!

Walking in the Rain

Before I Die

This book is the second book in the Drumbeat trilogy but it can be read as a standalone book i did that but i will say i think i would of like to know more of the background of the characters so i would read book one first do not get me wrong it did not stop me from enjoying this book i just like to get my character more

I did like Julia writing style she writes with a lot of description which i like and she very passionate about her characters

I liked the way she deals with some very hard subject Simon suffered with depression and later on his was diagnosed with Bi- polar i felt she research this well i like way she told the story i was so caught up with it

I did feel Jess found it hard to deal with did she cope well? You got to read to see

This story follows Jess and Simon marriage the   Difficulties they had my heart when out to them i really felt for them i enjoy how Julia writing style flowed so seamlessly and your are pulled into the story so effortlessly i was hooked i want to see what happened next

I like how the story was told from Jess point of view it a great story i can not for the next book

I recommend you all read

  1. Thank you for your lovely review, Rosie! Glad you enjoyed the book. The final novel in the trilogy will be out in the Spring. It will either be called Before I Die or Finding Jess – not sure which yet: see what my publisher says! Love, Julia x
