Heidi chose to read and review Acqua Morta by Adam Bane
Aqua Morta
By Adam Bane
Review by Heidi Lynn
First, I would like to thank Rosie Amber and Adam Bane for providing me this book so I may bring you this review.
Aqua Morta by Adam Bane is a crime thriller that is filled with investigations, missing persons, dead bodies, and murders. Adam’s first novel was well written with his detailed descriptions. I really could visualize myself being in picturesque Italy and England.
Mimmo Martelli, on the verge of retirement (due to a physical condition) is called to investigate a grim discovery on his final day of duty as a police officer. Mimmo is known to be very self destructible as he is a heavy drinker. One of my favorite quotes of Mimmo’s was “…so far retirement hadn’t been nearly as dull as he’d anticipated.”
Unfortunately, I felt I was mislead when choosing to read Aqua Morta. In the book blurb Adam Bane’s work was compared to Harlan Coben’s writing. Being a huge Harlan Coben fan I thought I hopped to the chance to read it.
