Welcome to Day 5 of Romancing September Across The World Tour. Today our guest is Carmen Stefanescu. Catch up with more from Carmen in a few hours with the second part of our tour when Stephanie chats to her.
Where is your home town?
Braila is my home town. Situated on the banks of the river Danube, in Romania, East Europe. Funny thing is that many people know my country better as Dracula’s country.
How long have you been writing romance?
Well, difficult to say. Starting with 2002 when I wrote Shadows of the Past. But writing, in general, started way back. With poetry in fact.
What is your favourite sub-genre of romance?
Paranormal. No vampires, though. Ghosts, reincarnation, past life regression and everything connected to these.
Why are Anne and Neil taking a break?
Human weakness leads Neil in the arms of Anne’s associate and friend, Gillian, or so things seem at first. A 2 year separation follows his onetime mistake.
What do they discover whilst out for a walk?
A gruesome discovery – a bejewelled cross and human bones in the hollow of an old oak tree.
Where and in what era do they suddenly find themselves?
The discovery has a strong connection with events that happened several hundred years before, in Middle Ages England.
From whom does Genevieve need saving?
Genevieve seeks salvation from the wicked Abbess, Sister Clementa, who is a witch.
Is Anne ever in danger herself from the spirits?
The Abbess’s ghost endangers both Anne and Neil.
Tell us what you are working on at the moment.
I submitted another paranormal, light mystery this time, to the publisher and am waiting for the reply.
I already signed the contract with the same publishing house, Wild Child Publishing, for another paranormal. A historical one. Dracula’s Mistress. I see you smiling. Yes, a native of his country can’t resist the temptation to write about him.
Where can readers find out more about you?

You would surely enjoy Shadows of the Past if you like such topics as reincarnation, karmic retribution. As About Dracula’s Mistress, that is for the moment in the editing stage, I can tell you only this: it goes against the grain! ( And has its share of paranormal too.) Thank you for reading my interview and leaving a comment!
