Here is her review:
Please…Call Me Derek by Mac Black
Mac Black’s character Derek is reminiscent of Mr Bean as he lands himself in various predicaments by being in the wrong place in this Tom Sharpe style adult comedy.
We meet Derek (or the aromatically named Sweaty to his friends) as a young lad who has a cunning plan to stop a local supermarket from building on his local playground. Then, as an adult, he spies the adorable and fragrant Sally and stumbles into her affections. Meanwhile the local constabulary are convinced they have their man when Derek keeps popping up in the wrong location at the right time and they are going to ‘ave ‘im, whatever it takes.
With a keen eye for the ridiculous in most situations, Mac Black made me chuckle and left me quietly pleased that this time it happened to someone else.
